Lia Harman, Owner & Virtual Wonder!
Lia started Day2Day VA back in 2005 whilst awaiting the birth of her first child. After completing her B.Comm Marketing Degree at UWS in 1994 and working in both admin and marketing roles within the transportation, medical, whitegoods and building industries she thought it was time to take a career break and start a family. However whilst waiting for that little bundle of joy to arrive, she was asked by her last employer to continue working from home for a while because they were having trouble replacing her in the office. And so, four weeks before the birth of her daughter, Day2Day VA was born!
Initially her work came from previous employers who all knew Lia's capabilities and had confidence in her abilities. They would email her with work to do and she'd send it back in between baths, feeds and nappy changes. Not the most glamorous start to a new career, but it worked!
Day2Day VA's client base grew significantly in those first 3 years, and after taking off only 10 days when her son was born in 2009, it was straight back into work and fitting things in around a baby and a toddler.
Now life is a little more structured. Both children are at school, and Lia operates Day2Day VA from her fully equipped home office in Sydney's North-West where she lives with her husband, their two children, two Miniature Schnauzers, 5 chickens and blue tongue lizard! She loves scented candles & red wine.
Lia loves what she does, and she does it well!
Kerri Hillsdon, Content Wizard!
Kerri Hillsdon is Day2Day VA's writer, editor and content creator extraordinaire!
Kerri has 15 years experience as a high-end Executive Assistant and Office Manager in various industries located in Canberra and Sydney. Then in a change of circumstances, she turned her love of writing into a career and has since published four novels, multiple articles (both internet and magazine) and has copy edited magazines, blogs, book submissions, business reports and much more.
She has a Bachelor of Arts, (History major), Cert IV in Business Management, Cert IV in Bookkeeping and a diploma. So she's well qualified to return well-researched and concise content.
